Merv, you seem to doing for art what nature has done for God!I love, practice and study art (and also make books) but even after 20 years still struggle with getting hand, eye and mind in sync. Art is bloody hard work (try convincing your friends on that score!)and constant failure is a given. But when it works, the reward is priceless. Look forward to reading your book. Best wishes.

Heard you on Bush Telegraph this morning. I teach creative writing in a rural town and could relate to so much of what you were saying! Can't afford to splash out on your hard-copy volume - though it looks beautiful. Do you have an e-book available for sale? I'd love to be able to quote you in some of my writing classes. Inspiring! Thank you.

Hi Merv, I heard you being interviewed on Bush Telegraph and was very interested in what you had to say about how life changing your classes have been. I have never drawn or painted and often wish I could.Would any of your classes be suitable for someone like me.I realise this isnt a comment so not sure how appropriate this is!

Hi Louise Thank you for your blog. Answer to your question regarding the suitability of one of my workshops to someone who has not had any experience with art - such as some training. Yes I always have some workshops going that could be done by someone with no previous training or experience. I believe that art should be for anyone. See the website for upcoming workshops. Colour workshop 8th 9th 10th & 11th November 2010 Landscape plain air to be scheduled soon Merv M

I have two of your beautiful paintings from the 1970's which I bought from my mother Vanna, the artist. They cost quite a lot at the time, you may remember. Please I would like to sell them or dispose of them to someone who would appreciate them. Please reply soon, Rita.
